The Rotaract club of IMNU organized a Blood Donation campaign on 19th July, 2011 in association with Prathama Blood Center. The event saw the participation of over 300 blood donors with actual 217 valuable contributions.
This is a historic figure reached by any blood donation camp on single day at Nirma University. The enthusiasm showed by Nirma University as a whole was phenomenal.
The creative and innovative Rotaract members brought out colourful posters highlighting the importance of blood donation with catchy slogans which motivated the students to come forward and donate blood. The event was promoted in an organized and timely manner, the promotional campaign leveraged social networking sites, e-mails, video advertisements, banners and personal communication to create awareness and impelled students to come forward and participate in the noble act.
We are thankful to Prathama Blood Center for agreeing to come to the campus. The doctors and the staff of the blood bank extended their fullest cooperation to make the camp a success. We congratulate and compliment the students who participated in this noble project. The donor’s contribution was appreciated and acknowledged by Prathama Blood Center by distributing certificates to them. We hope this camp will inspire more students to participate in such humane acts.
